RFP 1179 Legislative and Lobbying Services

Description: Milwaukee Public Schools seeks proposals for legislative liaison and lobbying services involving communication with Wisconsin state officials and, to a lesser extent, federal officials and regulatory agencies about education policy, funding, and related subjects identified by its Office of Governmental Relations. The work requires education-policy expertise, including local control, school governance, legislation and state education funding, as well as collaboration with public education advocacy groups. Relevant policy areas include special education funding, public instruction regulations, revenue-limit fairness, educational accountability, voucher-school funding, health care, and early childhood education, and prior public-education-sector experience is required.
